"It is an honor to have been chosen as a recipient of the 2023 Raymiro D. Gomez-Galiano Senior Portrait Scholarship. I am a current Junior at Palmdale High School, class of 2024, and aspiring to be a member of the armed forces. Receiving this scholarship has relieved my family and me by having one less expense to worry about for my upcoming senior year, which I may not have had. Without your kind contribution, it would not be possible for me or my family to experience the amazing pictures taken by William Edwards in our own home. Once again thank you for making these dream pictures a reality. I would also like to thank the generosity of the community members who have contributed to the amazing cause that NewColorsProject has taken on. Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to give back to the community as a high school history teacher."
